Bei soviel Überzeugung: Einfach buchen und ausprobieren... Ich werde einfach das Gefühl nicht los, dass kritische Antworten hier gar nicht erwünscht sind, sondern nur noch eine Bestätigung eingeholt werden soll.

Aber es ist Punkt 19 der National Rail Conditions of Carriage:

19. Using a combination of tickets
You may use two or more tickets for one journey as long as together they cover the entire journey and one of the following applies:
(a) they are both Zonal Tickets (unless special conditions prohibit their use); (b) the train you are in calls at the station where you change from one ticket to
another; or © one of the tickets is a Season Ticket (which for this purpose does not include Season
Tickets or travel passes issued on behalf of a passenger transport executive or local authority) or a leisure travel pass, and the other ticket(s) is/are not.

Return Tickets von Stansted nach Bishops Stortford bzw. Harlow Town und Return Tickets von Bishops Stortford bzw. Harlow Town nach London Liverpool Street bzw. London Terminals sind keine "Zonal Tickets" nach 19a, auch ist keines der beiden Tickets ein "Season Ticket" nach 19c, womit 19b anzuwenden ist: "the train you are in calls at the station where you change from one ticket to another". Das übersetze ich mal frei mit: "Der Zug muss an der Station, an der von einem Ticket zum anderem gewechselt wird, halten."

Umkehrschluß von Punkt 19 ist aber auch, dass es problemlos möglich ist 2 Tickets zu nutzen, solange damit die komplette Strecke abgedeckt ist. Bleibt eigentlich nur die Frage, ob man die Einschränkungen (erst nach 9:30, nicht jeder Zug nutzbar) in Kauf nehmen will.
