Hello Dennis,
Thank you for your interest and kind appreciation of The London Eye project. It is always really rewarding personally to learn how much it is being enjoyed - my ambition was to always make an emotional experience rather than simply a cold technical display of 3D gimmickry. In answer to your questions: I chose the music quite late in the process and I laid them into the movie on the very final edit. I had to edit the music a little to make it work with the movie, so I guess you could say it's sort of an original mix and of course the original artists previewed this before giving their final approval. In addition - all the shots you see of London are all real, we had to make a special 3D rig we attached to the front of a helicopter and we flew about eight hours in total over London capturing all the shots, even the ones that we later put the computer generated bird into.
I hope this answers your questions. Thank you once again for your interest and good luck with all your endeavours.
Best wishes - Julian Napier
